Isabel Silva

Isabel S. Silva, Degree in Psychology and PhD in Psychology Clinical Psychology - Family Psychology and Family Intervention from the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Coimbra since January 2014. She has developed research activities in parenting education and socio-educational intervention with professionals in the context of residential care for children and young people at risk, with the evidence-based programme "Incredible Years Basic for Parents" (IY), in which she is a certified leader. Since 2008, she collaborates with civil society organizations, with technical and coordination functions, in social, pedagogical and community intervention projects (e.g. "Uma Aventura no Mundo da Cidadania; "Ecocidadania"; "Ecomarket - AgroEcologia para Tod@s"; "LIGA-TE aos ODS e Agenda 2030"; "Educação em Ação - ABALL1"), in different areas such as education for citizenship, gender equality, environment and sustainability, human rights, promotion of health, well-being and quality of life, positive parenting, among others. Since 2018, she is the Coordinator of the Degree in Psychology and Assistant Professor at the Piaget Institute - ISEIT of Viseu, in areas such as Community Psychology and Psychosocial Intervention. Until now, this researcher participated in 16 projects, published articles in indexed international journals, 4 articles in conference proceedings, 19 abstracts in national and/or international scientific events, 6 book chapters, presented 64 oral communications, 24 posters in conferences and participated in more than 60 scientific events. She is a member of RECI - Research Unit in Education and Community Intervention. She develops research in the areas of socio-educational intervention with children, young people and families, promotion of participation and active citizenship.
